1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Safe QRs mobile application, QR codes and stickers, scan pages, family-alert tools, private internet calling, SOS and safety-timer features, online store, and related services (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Safe QR Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account, activating a QR code or sticker, placing an order, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy, and Account & Data Deletion Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the involvement and permission of a parent or lawful guardian, where permitted by law. Do not create an account using another person’s details without authority.

You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping access to your account and devices secure, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not impersonate another person or attempt to access another user’s account, QR code, family contacts or data.

3. How the QR safety service works

A QR code or sticker can open a web page that allows a person who scans it to submit a safety alert, select a reason for scanning, attempt an internet call to the owner, or access emergency helpline options. Depending on the owner’s settings and the feature used, alerts may be sent to the owner and/or verified family contacts.

The scan page is designed not to display the owner’s name, phone number or home address to the person scanning. However, no technical system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not put sensitive information in a public-facing QR message. Anyone who can see or copy a QR code may be able to scan it, so protect your physical stickers and QR images.

QR codes and stickers must be activated and used only by their rightful owner or a person authorised by them. Do not alter, duplicate, sell, distribute or claim a sticker in a way that infringes another person’s rights or bypasses activation security.

4. Safety features and emergency disclaimer

The Services are intended to support communication and safety awareness. They are not a substitute for emergency services, police, ambulance services, medical professionals, personal judgement or direct assistance. In India, call the appropriate official emergency number when urgent help is required; 112 is the pan-India emergency number.

We do not guarantee that an alert, notification, internet call, location update, safety timer, QR scan or SOS message will be delivered, received, answered or acted upon within any particular time. Delivery can be affected by internet or mobile network availability, device settings, battery, permissions, operating-system restrictions, third-party services, server outages or incorrect contact details.

Location information may be unavailable, delayed or inaccurate. A recipient may not see a map pin if the person scanning or sending an alert has not granted location permission or the device cannot determine its location. Private internet calling requires compatible devices, microphone permission and a working data connection; it may not ring when the app is closed unless the required push-notification setup is complete.

Do not rely on the Services as the sole means of protection for a child, vulnerable person, pet, vehicle or valuable item. For an immediate threat to life or safety, contact official emergency services directly.

5. Family contacts, alerts and calls

You may invite family members or other trusted contacts to receive alerts. You confirm that you have a lawful basis and, where required, their permission to add their contact details and send them invitations or alerts. Invited contacts may need to accept an invitation before they receive notifications.

Use the alert and calling features responsibly. Do not send false emergency reports, harass or threaten others, make abusive calls, or knowingly submit misleading information. We may limit or suspend access where misuse is suspected, subject to applicable law.

6. Free QR codes and physical sticker orders

Some QR-code functionality may be available without purchasing a physical sticker. Physical stickers and other products are offered at the price and with the description displayed at checkout. Product availability, packaging and delivery estimates may change.

An order is not treated as paid merely because a user enters a payment reference number. Where payment is verified manually, we may verify the transaction against our payment or bank records before confirming the order. Never share your UPI PIN, OTP, card PIN or banking password with us or another person. We will not need your UPI PIN to verify a payment.

Delivery estimates are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and contact details. You should keep your sticker activation secret code safe and not publish or share it with unauthorised persons.

7. Prices, payments and taxes

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR), unless otherwise stated. You agree to pay the displayed price and applicable charges before an order is processed. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment apps, banks or payment service providers and is subject to their terms.

If money is debited but an order is not confirmed, contact us with the order details and payment reference. We will investigate and handle any refund due under our Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy and applicable law.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services to commit an offence, stalk or harass someone, submit fraudulent alerts, unlawfully track a person, expose private information, interfere with system security, probe or overload our systems, reverse engineer or disrupt the Services except where applicable law permits, or use the Services for unauthorised commercial purposes.

You must not attach a QR sticker to another person’s property without permission, or use QR messages to threaten, defame, deceive or publish unlawful content. You are responsible for the content you choose to display in your QR message.

9. Availability, changes and third-party services

We may update, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or part of the Services for maintenance, security, legal compliance, business reasons or technical limitations. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes. Some features may be marked “Coming Soon”, “Soon” or “Paid”; those features are not available unless and until expressly launched and enabled.

The Services may rely on third-party infrastructure, notification providers, email providers, app stores, internet providers, calling relays and payment providers. We do not control their independent services, availability or policies. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider’s terms.

10. Intellectual property

The app, software, design, branding, text and other materials we provide are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Services for their intended purpose, subject to these Terms. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, address security risks, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. You may stop using the Services and request account deletion under our Account & Data Deletion Policy. Termination does not remove obligations or records that must lawfully continue, including payment, dispute, fraud-prevention or statutory records.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or universally compatible operation, nor do we warrant that the Services will prevent loss, injury, theft, accidents or emergencies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including applicable consumer rights or liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from factors outside our reasonable control, third-party network or service failures, inaccurate user-provided information, or a user’s failure to contact emergency services directly.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the app or at safeqrs.com with a revised effective date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree to a material change, stop using the Services.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights and the jurisdiction of competent courts. Nothing in this clause prevents you from exercising a consumer remedy available under applicable law.
